I almost wish I didn't know how easy this is to make because it's so delicious, but also admittedly an indulgence. Let the ingredients speak for themselves and you can't go wrong with Fettuccini Alfredo.

Ingredients:

1 LB Fettuccini pasta (I like to use fresh - either homemade or store bought)

1 cup Butter (yes, that's 2 sticks)

1 cup of Heavy Cream

Salt / Pepper

1 dash Garlic Salt

1.5 cups Parmesan/Romano Cheese

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta to al dente according to directions. IMPORTANT: scoop a 1/2 cup of pasta water from the pot before you drain the pasta

  2. Melt Butter & Heavy Cream together in large pan over low heat

  3. Add Salt, Pepper, Garlic Salt, increasing heat to medium as you stir

  4. Sprinkle cheese on top and let stand 30 seconds to allow the cheese to melt slightly

  5. Whisk in the cheese to the butter/cream mixture until smooth

  6. Add pasta water as needed to thin the sauce

  7. Add pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Enjoy!
